Motivation & Context

Azure.AI.Projects 3.0.0-beta.1 moves its response and conversation models to OpenAI 2.12.0. Agent Framework needs to adopt the new SDK surface and align its OpenAI dependency line with the new public package.

Description & Review Guide

  • What are the major changes? Updates Azure.AI.Projects to 3.0.0-beta.1, Microsoft.Extensions.AI.OpenAI to 10.9.0, and OpenAI to 2.12.0. Migrates Foundry code to upstream OpenAI conversation and response types. Updates self-contained hosted samples to use the same public package versions.
  • What is the impact of these changes? Foundry projects use the new Azure AI Projects SDK and one OpenAI 2.12 dependency line. Existing agent, workflow, memory, hosting, and source deployment scenarios continue to use the same behavior through the renamed SDK types.
  • What do you want reviewers to focus on? Please review the migration from removed Azure response and conversation models to their OpenAI equivalents, plus the Azure.AI.Projects 3.0 package use in hosted source deployment samples.
